Kagney Linn Karter and Brooklyn Lee, who each won AVN’s Best New Starlet trophy while utilizing the services of Rising Star, will help select the winner.

“I'm excited to be part of the Next Rising Star 2012 contest,” Lee said. “It's important to have the support of a good PR team if you're going to make it to the top. Rising Star PR is a great place to start.”

The contest is open to performers who have been in the business less than a year and who are not currently signed up for publicity with other companies. To enter they need to email info@risingstarpr.com.

Karter and Lee will help whittle the field down to five finalists, and then it will be opened up to public vote. The winner will receive a free month of full services from Rising Star PR, including press releases and media direction and assistance. The deadline to enter is April 29, with the final five to be announced May 1.

The contest will end two weeks later on May 14 with the winner announced the following day — and starting their first run of PR. The runner-up contestants will also be offered PR services at a reduced rate.

“Devan and Acme were polite and really seemed to know what they were talking about when we first met,” Kagney said. “They put out press releases on what I was doing, set up interviews with magazines and media outlets, helped me get the cover of AVN, and walked me through an amazing award season. I can definitely recommend their services.”

Rising Star PR currently represents clients that include Lisa Ann, Jenna Haze and Jennaration X Studios, Gen Padova, Casey Cumz, Dylan Ryder, Bluebird Films and Sienna Sinclaire. Each year the XRCO selects a handful of performers, directors and industry contributors who have made an indelible impact on the adult film industry. Among this year's honorees are superstar performers Jenna Haze, Jesse Jane and Julia Ann, directors Vince Vouyer and Miles Long as well as sex educator Tristan Taormino.

The Internet Adult Film Database (IAFD), a leading source for adult entertainment data, congratulates the entire Hall of Fame class for their tremendous achievements and contributions. Two of the new members of the XRCO Hall of Fame have a long history and special relationship with the IAFD.

Director Luc Wylder has been behind the camera for more than 100 movies and has been both an innovator and a tireless voice of advocacy for the adult film industry.

"Luc was one of the first industry people I ever met, back in the mid-90s at the East Coast Video Show in Atlantic City," said IAFD's Jeff Vanzetti. "He has been a big supporter of ours from way back in the RAME days, and we're very excited to see him back in the director's chair and now, in the Hall of Fame. Luc pioneered the pro-am genre with his 'Dirty Dancers' series, did some great MTV Cribs-style work with 'Adult Stars at Home' series and fun travelogues in the 'Sex Across America' series, and this is to say nothing of his B&D work epitomized by his 'Master's Choice' series."

Vanzetti continued, "I always worry that Hall of Fame status comes at the end of a career, but I think with his new entries in the Amateur Angels series, he's put those fears to rest. Congrats, sir!"

Also honored with induction into the XRCO Hall of Fame this year is the late Internet film critic, Den. After producing his own mail-order adult content and fighting a legal battle for free speech rights, Den founded his site, Cyberspace Adult Video Reviews or CAVR.com. The author of more than 25,000 adult movie reviews, Den was easily the most prolific writer of online adult film reviews ever.

“Neighborhood Slut Watch” stars reigning XBIZ New Starlet of the Year Jessie Andrews, who graces the box cover, along with additional performances by up-and-coming performers Presley Hart, Lexi Bloom, Valerie Kay, Casey Cumz and Mischa Brooks.

Styles has produced and directed more than 100 movies since his debut with Video Team in 2002, but this is his first title to come out under Jordan’s premium gonzo label.

"I am honored to have an opportunity to direct for Jules Jordan Video,” Styles said. “Knowing Jules for almost 10 years now, he has been a big influence on me as a director. He has taught me a lot between shooting, editing and how to approach a scene. So to be working with him on projects and to be creating high-quality movies is amazing. I look forward to making great quality porno people want to see."

Styles certainly is no stranger to the JJV brand. He has been Jenna Haze’s go-to videographer and photographer for her JennaRation X Studios, which is exclusively distributed by JJV. Jordan said he has watched Styles grow as a shooter, and the timing was right to give him an opportunity.

“He is really inspired by photography and new technology and he was doing some good work with Jenna on her movies,” Jordan told XBIZ. “I think he has matured into having a vision that’s not inspired by money or whatever. I knew that he could create something a little bit different that’s not typical for our brand that fans would appreciate.”

Jordan said that Styles has become “a one-man gang when it comes to production” who can produce, direct and edit with proficiency.

“That’s how I am, I can kind of relate,” Jordan continued. “It’s cool to have somebody that oversees the whole process and knows what they want and puts together a whole package for what they’re trying to accomplish.”

Styles’ directorial credits include dozens of titles for Hustler Video and several for Vouyer Media in addition to his work for Video Team early in his career. He has also previously shot content for Reality Kings.

"When Jules gave me the go ahead to have freedom in which to make this movie I was thrilled,” Styles said. “He asked that it be different from his stuff and everyone else's movies at JJV and I did just that.

“I have been a big fan of tumblr.com and the girls that post images on there. I wanted to convey that to a movie and knew that a big key to succeed at this was in the casting. Wardrobe was second. I wanted to take a break from the typical porno attire and shoot the girls in more ‘real’ clothing that say everyday girls would wear. But I knew despite having these two elements the girls had to be able to put out a scene that is of JJV standards as well as my own, and all of these girls delivered just that."

Jordan added, “I liked it. It was definitely different and unpredictable. That’s what adult needs right now, something not predictable, whether it’s the talent or what’s going on in the movie.”

"Every woman inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame is a legend," XRCO's Dirty Bob said in a statement.

"But this year's group redefines the word. Jenna Haze has won virtually every award the XRCO has to offer.”

After making news last week with the release of the music video for The Pretty Reckless’ “My Medicine,” which features Haze in a steamy role, she has been the subject of various articles, including Fleshbot reporting how she showed up at one of the band’s live performances and performed a lap dance for singer Taylor Momsen.

Haze and Momsen are also featured together in the latest issue of FHM, while the magazine’s website is running a contest on the 100 Sexiest Women in the World —with Haze in the running.

This weekend Haze will be performing at three different Club Risque locations: Thursday at Northeast, Friday at Philly and Saturday at Bristol.
